- 11How we selected
In short
- US annual prices checked October 15, 2026: One $199, Peak $239, Life $359; other regions differ.
- One covers sleep, strain and recovery; Peak adds stress and Healthspan; Life adds WHOOP MG and eligible heart features.
- The official Peak trial lasts one month with a certified pre-owned WHOOP 5.0; continuing membership is paid.

This WHOOP review compares the wearable and its One, Peak and Life memberships for people who want to understand sleep, training strain and recovery. It is not an AI software subscription, and it is not a free fitness tracker. WHOOP includes hardware with an ongoing membership; the choice comes down to which insights you will actually use and what the recurring cost means for your routine. We checked WHOOP’s official US membership and trial pages on October 15, 2026. This is a documentation-based editorial review, not a hands-on device test or medical assessment.

WHOOP plans and real annual cost
WHOOP’s official US membership page lists One at $199 per year, Peak at $239 per year and Life at $359 per year, checked October 15, 2026. These are annual advertised membership prices in US dollars, not the price of a device alone. Hardware is included according to the chosen tier. Shipping, taxes, promotions and available billing options must be checked in your local checkout.
| Plan | US annual price | Device and charging | Main difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| One | $199/year | WHOOP 5.0, basic wired charger | Sleep, strain, recovery and coaching |
| Peak | $239/year | WHOOP 5.0, wireless PowerPack | Adds Healthspan, Health Monitor and Stress Monitor |
| Life | $359/year | WHOOP MG, wireless PowerPack | Adds eligible ECG and blood-pressure wellness insights |
Peak costs $40 more per year than One; Life costs $120 more than Peak. Those are useful upgrade comparisons, but they do not establish that a more expensive plan is better for everyone. For sleep and training basics, One is the lower-cost starting point. Peak makes more sense if stress trends and the additional health summaries matter to you. Life needs a separate check of medical-feature eligibility.
Prices vary by country. Do not convert the US prices and assume they are the advertised prices in Italy, the UK or Canada; check the local currency and offer at checkout. We have not verified a current monthly-plan price or commitment for every country. Do not divide an annual price by twelve and treat that as a cancellable monthly offer.

Visit WHOOPSleep, strain and recovery in everyday use
All three memberships include WHOOP’s core Sleep, Strain and Recovery insights, personalized coaching, VO2 Max and heart-rate zones, plus Women’s Hormonal Insights. WHOOP presents these as a way to review daily patterns and build habits, rather than simply count the occasional workout. The practical appeal is seeing sleep and training in the same routine: review your overnight summary, consider the day’s recovery information, then compare it with the activity you actually completed.
That routine is more important than any single score. A higher or lower recovery result is not a diagnosis or a command to train. Use trends alongside how you feel, your training schedule and any professional advice you already receive. We have not independently measured sleep-stage accuracy, recovery-score reliability or coaching outcomes. WHOOP’s claims about improving fitness or longevity should not be read as guaranteed personal results.
Choose the device only if you expect to wear it consistently and open the app regularly. If you mainly want an occasional step total or a simple workout log, an ongoing membership may be unnecessary. The value comes from whether these summaries change useful decisions for you, not from collecting more numbers.

Visit WHOOPRunning, workouts and connected activity data
WHOOP lists steps and activity monitoring across the lineup, alongside strain scores and heart-rate zones. That makes it relevant to running and other physical activities, but it should not be described as measuring every sport perfectly or replacing specialist training equipment. For a runner, the useful questions are whether the activity was recorded, how it contributes to your training load and how that fits with recovery and sleep.
The official membership page also describes a two-way Strava connection. Strava activities sync into WHOOP with GPS, distance, pace, power and cadence data; WHOOP cardio and strength workouts can sync back to Strava. This is a documented integration, not proof that WHOOP alone provides every one of those measurements or has standalone GPS. Check your recording setup and connected-device permissions before relying on a particular metric.
A sensible trial is to wear the tracker through normal runs, easier days and rest days, then ask whether the app provides useful context you did not already get elsewhere. We have not tested distance, pace or heart-rate accuracy against laboratory or reference equipment. If your main priority is navigation, race-day display or a dedicated running watch, compare those requirements separately.

Visit WHOOPPeak stress monitoring and Life health features
Peak includes everything in One and adds Healthspan with WHOOP Age and Pace of Aging, Health Monitor with health alerts, and real-time Stress Monitor. Life includes Peak’s features and WHOOP MG hardware, with Blood Pressure Insights for wellness, Heart Screener with ECG readings and on-demand AFib Detection listed on the US page. This is why the plan matters: stress and advanced heart features are not interchangeable with the core sleep and activity package.
Healthspan is for wellness, not medical use, and is unavailable under age 18. WHOOP states that ECG is not intended for users under 22, people with known arrhythmias other than AFib, or certain implanted electronic devices. ECG and irregular-heart-rhythm features are regulated and not available in every region. Check the local eligibility list before paying for Life; do not assume the US feature list applies wherever you live.
Blood Pressure Insights is not a medical device and cannot diagnose or manage medical conditions. WHOOP says it is not intended for use during pregnancy or while taking blood-pressure medication. Do not treat these insights as a replacement for a cuff reading, clinical assessment or prescribed care. Stress summaries and estimated biological-age metrics also cannot establish that you are healthy or predict your lifespan. Seek medical advice for symptoms or concerns, rather than interpreting the app as a diagnosis.

Visit WHOOPOne-month trial, referral link and cancellation
The official US trial offers one month of WHOOP Peak with a certified pre-owned WHOOP 5.0, a basic charger and band. WHOOP advertises zero upfront hardware cost and describes the trial as risk-free for 30 days. That does not make the continuing membership free, and it does not establish that all shipping or return costs are waived.
The referral link used on Pickveo is the existing WHOOP invitation. We could not verify a separate guaranteed reward or extra free period for that specific invitation, so we do not promise one. Read the offer shown when you follow it, including the plan, billing commitment, renewal charge, cancellation deadline and device-return instructions before submitting payment details. Do not assume that a referral promotion and the standard Peak trial can be combined.
WHOOP’s membership FAQ states that a purchased membership may be cancelled with device return within 30 days of receipt for a refund minus shipping. The trial page confirms a 30-day trial, but the pages checked did not establish an exact trial-return fee, post-cancellation mailing deadline or automatic renewal amount for every checkout. Those remain checkout-specific questions, not numbers we can safely invent. Decide before the trial ends, keep confirmation of cancellation and follow the return instructions you receive. A subscription that continues after a trial is a paid commitment.
Hardware, battery and practical limitations
One and Peak include WHOOP 5.0; Life includes WHOOP MG. WHOOP advertises more than 14 days of battery life for both device families. That is a manufacturer claim, not a battery test we performed, and actual runtime will depend on use and conditions. One and the standard trial list a basic wired charger, while Peak and Life list the wireless PowerPack. Charging accessories are a practical difference, not just a feature label.
WHOOP’s warranty applies while an eligible active membership is maintained, subject to its terms; it should not be presented as unconditional lifetime cover. The official FAQ says upgrades may be made during a membership with a prorated payment, while downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Hardware requirements may change when moving to Life. Confirm the account-specific terms before switching.
The continuing fee is the main trade-off. You are paying for access to insights and services, not merely buying a band once. Consider the full annual commitment, whether you will wear it consistently, and whether you are comfortable sharing activity and wellness data with a connected service. We have not independently audited WHOOP’s privacy practices or validated its health algorithms.
Who should choose WHOOP, and what to compare
WHOOP is worth considering if you want a daily sleep-and-recovery routine tied to training and are comfortable with a recurring membership. One is the most economical tier in the verified US lineup for core tracking. Peak is the more relevant upgrade for people who specifically want stress and expanded health trends. Life is not an automatic recommendation simply because it has the most features: the MG hardware, regional eligibility and medical limitations need to fit your circumstances.
Before committing, compare a fitness watch if workout display and sports functions are your priority, or a sleep-focused wearable if overnight trends matter more than training. Check each alternative’s current hardware price, subscription requirement and accuracy evidence separately. We have not verified equivalent plans or prices for alternatives in this review, so this is a buying checklist rather than an unsupported ranking.
Our verdict is conditional: WHOOP’s documented combination of sleep, strain and recovery can support a more consistent review of your routine, but it cannot guarantee better health or performance. Try the actual experience if the local trial terms suit you, then decide whether the insights justify the continuing cost. Skip the membership if you will rarely read the summaries or expect it to diagnose health problems.
Bottom line
The verdict
WHOOP is a plausible fit for people who will regularly review sleep, training strain and recovery and accept a recurring membership. Start with the least expensive tier that includes the features you need; check local trial and renewal terms before joining. Its wellness insights do not replace medical assessment.
